High-Performance Elliptic Curve Cryptography: A SIMD Approach to Modern Curves (Extended Thesis Summary)

open access: yesCLEI Electronic Journal
Cryptography based on elliptic curves is endowed with efficient methods for public-key cryptography. Recent research has shown the superiority of the Montgomery and Edwards curves over the Weierstrass curves as they require fewer arithmetic operations ...

Families of elliptic curves with genus 2 covers of degree 2

open access: yes, 2006
We study genus 2 covers of relative elliptic curves over an arbitrary base in which 2 is invertible. Particular emphasis lies on the case that the covering degree is 2.

Thermally Activated Swelling and Wetting Transition of Frozen Polymer Brushes:a New Concept for Surface Functionalization

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A novel approach is introduced that leverages polymer phase transitions to modulate brush behavior. The oleophilic bottle brush system exhibits two distinct melting transitions—bulk and surface—enabling a two‐stage swelling and wetting transition.

Tailoring Robust Quantum Anomalous Hall Effect via Entropy‐Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Bandstructure renormalization, without (w/o) spin‐orbit interaction (SOI) (left) and with SOI (right), in the low‐energy Dirac bands of zero‐entropy (purple) and entropic (green) VCl3 monolayer (ML) with long‐range ordering (LRO). Abstract The development of quantum materials and the tailoring of their functional properties is of fundamental interest ...

Intensive Widmannstätten Nanoprecipitates Catalyze SnTe With State‐of‐the‐Art Thermoelectric Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The intensive lath‐shaped Ag2Te Widmannstätten nanoprecipitates are in situ generated in SnTe via AgPbSbTe3 alloying, and align with the formation of the parallel type and twin type interfaces. These Widmannstätten nanoprecipitates effectively scatter phonons to reduce the lattice thermal conductivity, resulting in a significantly enhanced average ZT ...
