Cohomology of local systems on loci of d-elliptic abelian surfaces

open access: yes, 2012
We consider the loci of d-elliptic curves in $M_2$, and corresponding loci of d-elliptic surfaces in $A_2$. We show how a description of these loci as quotients of a product of modular curves can be used to calculate cohomology of natural local systems ...

On Modular Elliptic Curves

open access: yesJournal of Number Theory, 1993
AbstractThe number of isogeny classes of elliptic curves E/Qp, having potentially good reduction at p, and which are quotients of the jacobian J0(p2), is bounded by (p/4 + 4).

Residual Stress States in Microstructurally Graded PBF–LB/M Austenitic Steel Components

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study examines microstructurally graded 316L rectangular tube profiles fabricated via PBF–LB/M using a dual‐laser system. A 1 kW top‐hat and a 400 W Gaussian laser create distinct grain sizes and crystallographic texture. Mechanical properties are linked to microstructural evolution driven by processing conditions.

Motives for an elliptic curve

open access: yesMathematische Annalen, 2018
In this paper we describe the category of motives for an elliptic curve in the sense of Voevodsky as a derived category of dg modules over a commutative differential graded algebra in the category of representations over some reductive group.

Toward Architected Microstructures Using Advanced Laser Beam Shaping in Laser Powder Bed Fusion of Ti‐6Al‐4V

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This research applies advanced laser beam shaping (LCoS‐SLM) to fabricate the Ti‐6Al‐4V alloy via laser powder bed fusion. A tailored beam is used to prevent martensite formation and create a dual α+β microstructure by controlling cooling rates.

Elliptic curves over the ring R

open access: yesBoletim da Sociedade Paranaense de Matemática, 2019
Let Fq be a finite field of q elements, where q is a power of a prime number p greater than or equal to 5. In this paper, we study the elliptic curve denoted Ea,b(Fq[e]) over the ring Fq[e], where e2 = e and (a,b) ∈ (Fq[e])2.

Local diophantine properties of modular curves of $\cal{D}$-elliptic sheaves [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We study the existence of rational points on modular curves of $\cal{D}$-elliptic sheaves over local fields and the structure of special fibres of these curves.

Bi‐Directional Assembly of Boron Nitride µ‐Platelets by Micro‐Molding for Advanced Thermal Interface Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Bi‐directionally assembled BN µ‐platelets in micropatterns formed by a micro‐molding method for thermal interface materials are demonstrated. The BN µ‐platelets are vertically aligned selectively, while compressed regions without patterns accommodate horizontally assembled BN µ‐platelets. Through anisotropic orientation, high thermal conductivities for

Faster Complete Addition Laws for Montgomery Curves

open access: yesTransactions on Cryptographic Hardware and Embedded Systems
An addition law for an elliptic curve is complete if it is defined for all possible pairs of input points on the elliptic curve. In Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC), a complete addition law provides a natural protection against side-channel attacks ...

Elliptic Curve Multiset Hash [PDF]

open access: yesThe Computer Journal, 2016
A homomorphic, or incremental, multiset hash function, associates a hash value to arbitrary collections of objects (with possible repetitions) in such a way that the hash of the union of two collections is easy to compute from the hashes of the two collections themselves: it is simply their sum under a suitable group operation.
