Microfluidic Nano‐Assembly of Red‐Blood‐Cell (RBC) Lipids and Components for Engineering Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Engineered red blood cell‐derived extracellular vesicles (eRBCEVs) are synthesized via controlled microfluidic assembly from native RBC lipids, enabling tunable encapsulation of proteins, nucleic acids, nanoparticles, and viral vectors. The platform demonstrates reproducible nanoscale architecture, preserved membrane composition, and functional cargo ...

Parallelizing pairings on Hessian elliptic curves

open access: yesArab Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2019
This paper considers the computation of the Ate pairing on the Hessian model of elliptic curves. Due to the many important properties making the model attractive in cryptography, we compute for the first time the Ate pairing on this model and show how ...

Structural Guidance in 3D Microgel‐in‐Hydrogel Systems to Improve Chondrogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The Anisogel, an anisotropic microgel‐in‐hydrogel system, guides chondrogenic differentiation of human mesenchymal stromal cells (hMSCs) modulated by the alignment and size of anisometric microgels. Chondrogenic markers are upregulated in an in vitro model and guided tissue infiltration is enhanced in a semi‐orthopedic mouse model due to the physico ...

Endomorphisms on elliptic curves for optimal subspaces and applications to differential equations and nonlinear cryptography

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2015
Finite spaces are used on elliptic curves cryptography (ECC) to define the necessary parameters for nonlinear asymmetric cryptography, and to optimize certain solutions of differential equations.

Sodium Alginate‐Based Submucosal Lifting Hydrogel for Endoscopic Mucosal Resection and Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A biocompatible sodium alginate‐based hydrogel is developed as a next‐generation submucosal lifting agent intended for EMR and ESD. The optimized formulation exhibits a composition devoid of endotoxins, high viscosity, demonstrates reliable injectability, and ensures prolonged mucosal elevation.

Isolated elliptic curves and the MOV attack

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Cryptology, 2017
We present a variation on the CM method that produces elliptic curves over prime fields with nearly prime order that do not admit many efficiently computable isogenies. Assuming the Bateman–Horn conjecture, we prove that elliptic curves produced this way

Patient‐Derived 3D Heart‐On‐a‐Chip Model of Dilated Cardiomyopathy With Embedded Bead‐Based Mapping of Tissue Contractility

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A heart‐on‐a‐chip model of dilated cardiomyopathy is developed from patient‐derived induced pluripotent stem cells. The model recapitulates key disease phenotypes and enables functional assessment through integrated bead‐based tracking and pillar deflection measurements.

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

Huff’s Model for Elliptic Curves [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper revisits a model for elliptic curves over Q introduced by Huff in 1948 to study a diophantine problem. Huff's model readily extends over fields of odd characteristic. Every elliptic curve over such a field and containing a copy of Z/4Z x Z/2Z is birationally equivalent to a Huff curve over the original field.

3D Anodic Alumina Nanoarchitectures: A Decade of Progress from Foundational Science to Functional Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ordered three‐dimensional anodic aluminum oxide (3D‐AAO) nanoarchitectures with longitudinal and transverse pores enable architecture‐driven metamaterials. The review maps fabrication advances, including hybrid pulse anodization, and shows how 3D‐AAO templates tailor properties across magnetism, energy, catalysis, and sensing.
