Numerical Modeling of Tank Cars Carrying Hazardous Materials With and Without Composite Metal Foam

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Large‐scale puncture models consisting of hazardous materials (HAZMATs) tank car with protective steel–steel composite metal foam (S–S CMF) are solved numerically. Tank car plate with added 10.91–13.33 mm thick S–S CMF layer does not puncture. Protective S–S CMF absorbs impact energy, reduces plate deformation, and prevents shear bands formation ...

Modulating Two‐Photon Absorption in a Pyrene‐Based MOF Series: An In‐Depth Investigation of Structure–Property Relationships

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates H4TBAPy‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) ‐ NU‐1000, NU‐901, SrTBAPy, and BaTBAPy ‐ for multiphoton absorption (MPA) performance. It observes topology‐dependent variations in the 2PA cross‐section, with BaTBAPy exhibiting the highest activity.

On full asymptotics of analytic torsions for compact locally symmetric orbifolds

open access: yes, 2020
In this paper, we consider a certain sequence of homogeneous flat vector bundles on a compact locally symmetric orbifold, and we compute explicitly the associated asymptotic Ray-Singer analytic torsion.

3D‐Printed Sulfur‐Derived Polymers With Controlled Architectures for Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Rheology‐guided formulation design for direct ink writing enables the fabrication of 3D sulfur copolymer cathodes with controlled architectures for lithium‐sulfur batteries. The printed electrodes exhibit multiscale porosity and high sulfur utilization, delivering enhanced electrochemical performance compared to conventional cast electrodes.

An analytic solution for the equal-mass banana graph

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We present fully analytic results for all master integrals for the three-loop banana graph with four equal and non-zero masses. The results are remarkably simple and all integrals are expressed as linear combinations of iterated integrals of modular ...

Elliptic hypergeometric sum/integral transformations and supersymmetric lens index

open access: yes, 2018
We prove a pair of transformation formulas for multivariate elliptic hypergeometric sum/integrals associated to the $A_n$ and $BC_n$ root systems, generalising the formulas previously obtained by Rains.

An All‐Optical Driven Bio‐Photovoltaic Interface for Active Control of Live Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Bio‐photovoltaic Interface (BIO‐PV‐I) for live cell manipulation is presented. BIO‐PV‐I can be activated non‐invasively and remotely to control the spatial motility, adhesion, and morphology of cells adhering to it. BIO‐PV‐I uses a patterned light‐induced electric potential in iron‐doped lithium niobate crystals whose light‐driven and reversible nature,

High-precision calculation of the 4-loop contribution to the electron g-2 in QED

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2017
I have evaluated up to 1100 digits of precision the contribution of the 891 4-loop Feynman diagrams contributing to the electron g-2 in QED. The total mass-independent 4-loop contribution is ae=−1.912245764926445574152647167439830054060873390658725345 ...

The meta-abelian elliptic KZB associator and periods of Eisenstein series

open access: yes, 2017
We compute the image of Enriquez’ elliptic KZB associator in the (maximal) meta-abelian quotient of the fundamental Lie algebra of a once-punctured elliptic curve. Our main result is an explicit formula for this image in terms of Eichler integrals of ...

Raman Microscopy at the Organic–Inorganic Interfaces in Human Calcified Aortic Valves Shows the Co‐Existence of Whitlockite Crystals and Carbonated Hydroxyapatite‐Mineralized Collagen Fibrils

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study advances our understanding of aortic valve stenosis by capturing spatially resolved chemical and structural changes at the nanoscale. The findings highlight the potential of combined Raman and electron microscopy for understanding calcification mechanisms across diverse tissue types.
