Relaxation of a weakly discontinuous functional depending on one control function

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2008
The paper considers an optimal control problem of the typewhere the set M of admissible controls consists of all measurable vector‐functions h, which can take only two values h1 or h2.

Robust H Loop Shaping Controller Synthesis for SISO Systems by Complex Modular Functions

open access: yesMathematical and Computational Applications, 2021
In this paper, a loop shaping controller design methodology for single input and a single output (SISO) system is proposed. The theoretical background for this approach is based on complex elliptic functions which allow a flexible design of a SISO ...

Understanding Further the Phenotypic Spectrum of Central Nervous System Inflammatory Demyelinating Disorders Using Unsupervised Clustering

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Central nervous system (CNS) inflammatory demyelinating syndromes, including multiple sclerosis (MS), aquaporin‐4 antibody–positive neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (AQP4 + NMOSD), and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibody–associated disease (MOGAD), occasionally overlap.

Some estimates for elliptic systems generalizing the Bitsadze system of equations

open access: yesУчёные записки Казанского университета: Серия Физико-математические науки
This article explores an elliptic system of n equations where the main part is the Bitsadze operator (the square of the Cauchy–Riemann operator) and the lower term is the product of a given matrix function by the conjugate of the desired vector function.

Blow-up, concentration phenomenon and global existence for the Keller-Segel model in high dimension [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper is devoted to the analysis of the classical Keller-Segel system over $\mathbb{R}^d$, $d\geq 3$. We describe as much as possible the dynamics of the system characterized by various criteria, both in the parabolic-elliptic case and in the fully ...

Oscillation criteria for elliptic systems [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1971
Oscillation criteria are established for quasilinear elliptic partial differential systems of second order in unbounded domains of Euclidean space. The main departures from earlier investigations are: (1) systems of partial differential equations are considered; (2) the equations are nonlinear; (3) the matrices involved are not required to be positive ...

Comprehensive Assessment of Arterial, Tissue, and Venous Collaterals for Evaluating the Infarct Growth Rate: The Multimodal Collateral Score

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Collaterals are crucial factors that influence the infarct growth rate (IGR). We aimed to determine whether a comprehensive multimodal collateral score (MCS), incorporating collateral assessment at the arterial, tissue, and venous levels, is associated with functional independence and provides incremental prognostic value over ...

On integration of the Kowalevski gyrostat and the Clebsch problems

open access: yes, 2004
For the Kowalevski gyrostat change of variables similar to that of the Kowalevski top is done. We establish one to one correspondence between the Kowalevski gyrostat and the Clebsch system and demonstrate that Kowalevski variables for the gyrostat ...

Enhancing Corrosion Resistance and Mechanical Strength of 3D‐Printed Iron Polylactic Acid for Marine Applications via Laser Surface Texturing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Laser surface texturing significantly improves the corrosion resistance and mechanical strength of 3D‐printed iron polylactic acid (Ir‐PLA) for marine applications. Optimal laser parameters reduce corrosion by 80% and enhance tensile strength by 25% and ductility by 15%.

System size, energy and pseudorapidity dependence of directed and elliptic flow at RHIC

open access: yes, 2005
PHOBOS measurements of elliptic flow are presented as a function of pseudorapidity, centrality, transverse momentum, energy and nuclear species. The elliptic flow in Cu-Cu is surprisingly large, particularly for the most central events. After scaling out
