Preliminary ecological. microstructural and metabolical results are presented of a study on the symbiotic relationship between the Saccoglossan Opisthobranch Elysia timida, from the Mar Menor hypersaline lagoon (Murcia. SE Spain). and its algal chloroplasts.

The sacoglossan mollusc Elysia timida Risso, 1918 was collected from different sites of Murcia coast, including the coastal lagoon of Mar Menor, with the aim of verifying if there are differences of chlorophyll level, individual weight and photosynthetic exploiting from there “symbiotic chloroplast” between the populations.
