Gender Bias in Meta-Embeddings [PDF]
Different methods have been proposed to develop meta-embeddings from a given set of source embeddings. However, the source embeddings can contain unfair gender-related biases, and how these influence the meta-embeddings has not been studied yet. We study the gender bias in meta-embeddings created under three different settings: (1) meta-embedding ...

Unsupervised Framework for Evaluating and Explaining Structural Node Embeddings of Graphs [PDF]
An embedding is a mapping from a set of nodes of a network into a real vector space. Embeddings can have various aims like capturing the underlying graph topology and structure, node-to-node relationship, or other relevant information about the graph, its subgraphs or nodes themselves.

Embedded Pattern Matching [PDF]
Haskell is a popular choice for hosting deeply embedded languages. A recurring challenge for these embeddings is how to seamlessly integrate user defined algebraic data types. In particular, one important, convenient, and expressive feature for creating and inspecting data -- pattern matching -- is not directly available on embedded terms. We present a

Nearest Embedded and Embedding Self-Nested Trees [PDF]
Self-nested trees present a systematic form of redundancy in their subtrees and thus achieve optimal compression rates by directed acrylic graph (DAG) compression. A method for quantifying the degree of self-similarity of plants through self-nested trees was introduced by Godin and Ferraro in 2010.

: In this study, transglutaminase (TG), glucono-δ-lactone (GDL), and citric acid (CA) were used to induce the formation of whey protein isolate (WPI)-milk fat emulsion gels to embed lutein, and the emulsion gels induced in different ways were used for ...

When hypotaxis looks like parataxis: embedding and complementizer agreement in Teiwa
Teiwa, an Alor-Pantar language of the Trans-New Guinea family, has been characterized as expressing speech reports not with complementation, but with combinations of two clauses juxtaposed under a single intonation contour with no morphological ...

Abstract A case of an embedded fingernail is reported. The increased curvature of the nail plates is considered aetiologically important. Treatment was by the method first described by Winograd for an embedded toenail.

2-biplacement without fixed points of (p,q)-bipartite graphs [PDF]
In this paper we consider \(2\)-biplacement without fixed points of paths and \((p,q)\)-bipartite graphs of small size. We give all \((p,q)\)-bipartite graphs \(G\) of size \(q\) for which the set \(\mathcal{S}^{*}(G)\) of all \(2\)-biplacements of \(G\)

Banach-Tarski Embeddings and Transformers [PDF]
We introduce a new construction of embeddings of arbitrary recursive data structures into high dimensional vectors. These embeddings provide an interpretable model for the latent state vectors of transformers. We demonstrate that these embeddings can be decoded to the original data structure when the embedding dimension is sufficiently large.
