Influence of temperature on the embedding strength
Holz als Roh- und Werkstoff, 2005In order to determine the influence of the temperature on the embedding strength at the yield threshold, 150 tests were carried out using 8 mm dowels. The tests were performed on samples of Pinus sylvestris L. with density in the range between 489 kg/m3 and 679 kg/m3 with an initial moisture content of about 11%.

Research on Embedding Strength of Diamond
Key Engineering Materials, 2011It is stated that Diamond saw blades requires high embedding strength of the diamond, while diamond drill bits do not. It is necessary to improve the embedding strength of diamond in diamond saw blades, rather than in the diamond drilling bits. It is recommended to count the number of diamond particles on the matrix surface and get the embedding ...

Tensile Strength of Embedded Anchor Groups: Tests and Strength Models
Engineering Journal, 2016Steel column bases in seismically braced frames and other similar structures must be designed for high uplift or tensile forces. A common detail for this connection involves anchors embedded in the footing with a plate at their lower end, also embedded in the footing.

Strength and Ductility of Embedded Steel Composite Coupling Beams
Advances in Structural Engineering, 2003The stringent requirements on dimensions, ductility, energy absorption, strength and stiffness of coupling beams have resulted in much research on various alternative coupling beam designs, which include the use of diagonal reinforcement, rhombic arrangement of main bars and steel composites.

Applications of a Neural Network to Estimate Watermark Embedding Strength
Eighth International Workshop on Image Analysis for Multimedia Interactive Services (WIAMIS '07), 2007Digital watermarking technology has the advantages of easy implementation and capability of providing wide security services such as copyright protection, authentication and secret communication. In this paper, a digital watermarking scheme using neural network is proposed.

A note on embedding of orthogonal arrays of strength two
Journal of Statistical Planning and Inference, 1979The problem of embedding an orthogonal array of strength 2 into a complete orthogonal array is discussed. It is shown that for any n≠4 any orthogonal array of strength 2 and deficiency 2 can always be embedded into a corresponding complete orthogonal array.

The Strength of the Steel Bar Embedded in the Masonry Wall
Advanced Materials Research, 2012The experimental research on the strength of the steel bar embedded in the masonry wall is presented in this paper. Six existing masonry buildings of different construction age are concerned in site test. Only the steel bar with diameter of 6mm and embedded depth of 100mm is selected as the specimen for test.

Secure Video Watermarking via Embedding Strength Modulation
2004Straightforward adaptations of results for still images watermarking have led to non-secure video watermarking algorithms. The very specific nature of digital video has indeed to be considered so that robustness and security issues are handled efficiently.

An improved robust image watermarking by using different embedding strengths
Multimedia Tools and Applications, 2020Image watermarking technique is an alternative solution to protecting digital image copyright. This paper proposed a new embedding technique based on different embedding strengths for embedding a watermark. An image is divided into non-overlapping blocks of 8 × 8 pixels. The variance pixel value was computed for each image block.

The dielectric strength of epoxy embedding compounds
1962 EI Electrical Insulation Conference Materials and Application, 1962Miniaturization has become a prime design goal especially for airborne electronic components. Generally, this means increased electrical stresses which require both redesign of the insulation system and the introduction of improved materials. To meet these dielectric strength requirements, there has been increased reliance on epoxy embedding compounds.
