Performance Evaluation of Compression‐Molded Recycled Mixed Plastic Fractions From Light Packaging

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, EarlyView.
Mixed HDPE/PP bottle‐cap waste was successfully processed through closed‐loop mechanical recycling. The recycled blends maintained stable thermal, rheological, and mechanical performance over multiple cycles, demonstrating the feasibility of valorizing heterogeneous polyolefin waste without advanced polymer separation.

Aggregation‐induced enhanced emission for quantification of recycled content in automotive plastics

open access: yesPolymer International, EarlyView.
Quantifying recycled content in four automotive plastics using aggregation‐induced enhanced emission showed that performance was highly dependent on both polymer and additive chemistries. Abstract The use of plastics in the automotive industry is increasing due to their versatility, light weight and affordability.

Experiments on High-Temperature Irradiation of Li2ZrO3/MgLi2ZrO4 Ceramics by He2+ Ions

open access: yesCeramics
The key objective of this study is to determine the effect of interphase boundaries, the formation of which is caused by the variation of Li2ZrO3/MgLi2ZrO4 phases in lithium-containing ceramics based on lithium metazirconate, on the resistance to near ...

The Effect of Alloying Elements and Impurities on the Composition and Formation of Intermetallic Particles in Titanium and Titanium Alloys

open access: yesSurface and Interface Analysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The corrosion resistance of alpha and near‐alpha titanium alloys has resulted in their widespread application in extreme environments. Their corrosion behavior is often influenced by their microstructure, particularly intermetallic particles (IMPs), and even slight compositional variations can produce significant differences in microstructure ...

Hierarchical Interfacial Engineering of Boehmite‐Coated Separators via Silane Functionalization and Electron‐Beam Irradiation

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
A hierarchically reinforced ceramic–coated separator is developed by integrating APTES‐functionalized boehmite nanoparticles with EB‐induced radical formation and subsequent coupling. This synergistic interface engineering enables significantly improved mechanical integrity and interfacial stability.

Embrittlement behaviour of metal additive-manufactured high-entropy alloy components under gaseous and electrochemical hydrogen charging

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
Embrittlement is an environmentally induced fracture that primarily affects metallic materials. This phenomenon occurs when hydrogen is absorbed on the metal surface and penetrates to the core, followed by degrading the mechanical properties in a ...
