Chocolate and Embryo Implantation [PDF]

open access: possibleHomoeopathic Links, 2015
Two infertile women in whom five apparently normal embryos formed by in vitro fertilisation (IVF) had failed to implant were treated with the homeopathic medicine Chocolate. Both women successfully implanted the next IVF embryo and gave birth to daughters.

Role of Aneuploidy on Embryo Implantation

Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation, 2007
Approximately 30% of oocytes in the human species carry a chromosomal imbalance. This condition has severe clinical consequences as approximately one-third of spontaneous abortions are aneuploid. The most obvious link to the increase of aneuploidy in oocytes is maternal age. This has been directly confirmed by the analysis of polar bodies.

Lipid signaling in embryo implantation

Prostaglandins & Other Lipid Mediators, 2005
A reciprocal interaction between the implantation-competent blastocyst and the receptive uterus is required for successful implantation. Although various molecular pathways are known to participate in this cross-talk, a comprehensive understanding of the implantation process is still missing.

The use of morphokinetics as a predictor of embryo implantation [PDF]

open access: yesHuman Reproduction, 2011
Time-lapse observation presents an opportunity for optimizing embryo selection based on morphological grading as well as providing novel kinetic parameters, which may further improve accurate selection of viable embryos. The objective of this retrospective study was to identify the morphokinetic parameters specific to embryos that were capable of ...

Zearalenone Blocks Autophagy Flow and Induces Cell Apoptosis during Embryo Implantation in Gilts.

Toxicological Sciences, 2020
Zearalenone (ZEA) has been proved to be toxic, particularly to the reproductive system of gilts. The effect of ZEA on gilts during embryo implantation window period is of particular interests.

Embryo-uterine interaction in implantation

Life Sciences, 1980
Abstract Pregnant donor (day 3) and non-pregnant recipient rats were hypophysectomized and injected daily for 6 days with 2 mg of progesterone. A single dose of 20 ng of estradiol-17β in saline was administered via a tail vein to either the donor, the recipient, or to both animals; blastocysts were transferred 60 to 90 minutes after the latter ...

Antibodies, implantation and embryo survival

Reproduction, Fertility and Development, 1992
The diverse strategies adopted among species for the maintenance of luteal function converge to meet the indispensable requirement for this hormone particularly at the time of onset of implantation. What has emerged from immunization studies is the difference that exists between various species in the effects of progesterone depletion.

Embryo Implantation

2015
The process of implantation is a dynamic, complex reciprocal interaction between the embryo and uterus. The major events of this process include synchronized development of the preimplantation embryo into an implantation-competent blastocyst with preparation of the uterus to the receptive state, attachment of the blastocyst to the uterine luminal ...

Endothelins and their receptors in embryo implantation

Journal of Cellular Biochemistry, 2019
AbstractAs a critical stage of pregnancy, the implantation of blastocysts into the endometrium is a progressive, excessively regulated local tissue remodeling step involving a complex sequence of genetic and cellular interplay executed within an optimal time frame. For better understanding the causes of infertility and, more importantly, for developing
