Cellular Fragments in the Perivitelline Space Are Not a Predictor of Expanded Blastocyst Quality

open access: yesFrontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology, 2021
The presence of cellular fragments in the perivitelline space is a commonly used parameter to determine quality before transfer of in vitro produced (IVP) embryos. However, this parameter is difficult to assess after blastocyst expansion.

ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Effect of endometrial thickness and embryo quality on live-birth rate of fresh IVF/ICSI cycles: a retrospective cohort study

open access: yesReproductive Biology and Endocrinology, 2020
Background Successful implantation and delivery require both the functional embryo and receptive endometrium in assisted reproductive technology (ART) cycles. However, little is known about embryo-endometrial interaction on live-birth.

mRNA Expressions of Candidate Genes in Gestational Day 16 Conceptus and Corresponding Endometrium in Repeat Breeder Dairy Cows with Suboptimal Uterine Environment Following Transfer of Different Quality Day 7 Embryos

open access: yesAnimals, 2021
Effect of the gestational day (GD) 7 embryo quality grade (QG) and subclinical endometritis (SCE) on mRNA and protein expressions of candidate genes [Interferon-τ (IFNT), IFN stimulated genes (ISG15, CTSL1, RSAD2, SLC2A1, CXCL10, and SLC27A6), Peroxisome

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Mitochondrial DNA copy number level in the culture medium of human embryos as a factor in predicting the onset and prolongation of pregnancy

open access: yesRUDN Journal of Medicine
Relevance. A key factor influencing the effectiveness of assisted reproductive technology programmes is the quality of the embryo transferred into the uterine cavity.

Top‐quality embryo transfer is associated with lower odds of ectopic pregnancy

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, 2022
Introduction The incidence of ectopic pregnancy is up to four times higher after in vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection (IVF/ICSI) than in spontaneous pregnancies, and the risk of ectopic pregnancy is increased by tubal factor ...

The relationship between good quality embryo rates and IVF outcomes/embryo transfer policies in extended embryo culture

open access: yes, 2022
This study aims to investigate which parameters affect the change in good quality embryo rates during the cleavage stage and whether they have any effect on embryo transfer policies and IVF results.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.
