Biology and physiology of sexual reproduction in Pistacia atlantica subsp. mutica [PDF]

open access: yesتحقیقات جنگل و صنوبر ایران, 2004
Pistacia atlantica subsp. mutica is a predominant and endemic species throughout the western sparse forests of Iran. In this study, some of the biological and physiological aspects such as flower and fruit development, embryo sac and endosperm initiation,

FAM134B Restricts African Swine Fever Virus Capsid Assembly via Reticulophagy and Its Antiviral Activity is Antagonized by the Viral Virulence‐Associated Factor pMGF300‐2R

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT African swine fever (ASF), caused by African swine fever virus (ASFV), is a devastating viral disease in domestic pigs and wild boar. ASFV is a large DNA virus whose capsid assembly takes place within perinuclear viral factories (VFs). Accumulating evidence has demonstrated that reticulophagy confers antiviral activity against multiple RNA ...

scGEN: Leveraging an Adaptive Weighting Strategy for Challenging Cell Clustering in Single‐Cell RNA‐seq

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
scGEN combines attribute–structure encoding, adaptive hard‐sample weighting, and regularized zero‐inflated negative binomial loss to resolve ambiguous single‐cell states. In the developing human pituitary, refined annotations reveal Pre.Gonado cells at 7 weeks and previously obscured developmental communication networks.

Embryo donation parents' attitudes towards donors : comparison with adoption [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
BACKGROUND: Embryo donation produces a family structure where neither rearing parent is genetically related to the child, as in adoption. It is not known how embryo donation parents view the donors compared with how adoptive parents view the birth ...

Dual Compartmentalization of GSTA4 Suppresses Ferroptosis to Drive Antiandrogen Resistance in Prostate Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The schematic diagram depicts a compartmentalized anti‐ferroptotic defense mechanism mediated by GSTA4. GSTA4 is upregulated and localizes to the cytoplasm in ENZR cells, where it detoxifies 4‐HNE via a non‐canonical GSH‐dependent pathway. Under oxidative stress, GSTA4 translocates to mitochondria, interacts with PGAM5, and blocks Drp1 Ser637 ...

Engineered Allosteric Biosensor for In Situ DNA Glycosylase Detection in Neuroblastoma Risk Stratification and Drug Resistance Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An engineered allosteric biosensor (UUU‐DZ‐tFNA) was developed, in which UDG specifically recognizes and activates a DNAzyme to achieve signal cycle amplification in a sequentially activatable mode. UUU‐DZ‐tFNA achieves in situ UDG detection across multiple biological levels and facilitates risk stratification and drug resistance monitoring of NB ...

Embryo donation families : a follow-up in middle childhood [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Couples who conceive using donated embryos rear a child to whom they are genetically unrelated. It has been suggested that this may have negative consequences for parenting and child development.

Ciliary Membrane Lipid Homeostasis in Health and Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review systematically delineates the distinct lipid landscapes of ciliary membranes, including the spatial organization of phosphoinositides, cholesterol, and sphingolipids. It elucidates how these lipids orchestrate ciliogenesis, signal transduction, and membrane dynamics in cilia beating, and highlights how their dysregulation drives ...

PREDICTION OF ADVERSE PREGNANCY OUTCOME FOR THE FETUS ON THE BASIS OF ULTRASOUND INVESTIGATION OF THE EMBRYO AND EXTRAEMBRYONIC STRUCTURES

open access: yesКубанский научный медицинский вестник, 2017
Aim. Identify the most informative ultrasound criteria for the pathology of the embryo and extraembryonic structures from the 8th to the 11th weeks of gestational age in order to predict the course and outcome of pregnancy for the fetus.
