Reliable Evaluation of Na‐Ion Battery Materials: Eliminating Na‐Metal Distortions

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Na metal is highly reactive in carbonate electrolytes, forming unstable interphases and triggering parasitic reactions that distort measurements and undermine reproducibility. To enable accurate evaluation of materials for Na‑ion batteries, this work suggests that NASICON‑type counter electrodes provide a practical and stable platform for distortion ...

Linking DSC/TGA to Cell Levels: Energetics, Evolved Gases, and Thermal Safety of NMC811‐Graphite Micro‐Cell

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A bottom‐up, component‐resolved framework combining DSC/TGA, evolved gas analysis, and in situ XRD reveals how decomposition pathways control energy release in partial and micro‐cell configurations. Separator‐free assemblies are dominated by cathode‐O2${\rm O}_2$/anode‐Li reactions, while the separator restricts oxygen transport, reshapes the reaction ...

SOC Mismatch–Driven Inter‐Particle Synchronization via Internal Li‐Ion Transfer: An Unrecognized Electrode‐Emergent Degradation Pathway in Ni‐Rich Composite Cathodes

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Composite cathode degradation is not merely the sum of its particles. Kinetically mismatched populations develop state‐of‐charge differences that drive spontaneous internal Li‐ion transfer; the accompanying transient currents accelerate surface degradation.

Electromagnetic Compatibility in Space Systems (Part I) [PDF]

open access: yesفناوری در مهندسی هوافضا, 2020
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is an important subject in electronics and communications. The proper performance of a system is very much dependent on meeting EMC requirements. This is more important in space systems.

Glyoxylic‐Acetal‐Based Gel‐Polymer Electrolytes for Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2025.
A safe electrolyte based on tetraethoxyglyoxal (LE) is combined with a methacrylate polymer matrix. The resulting gel‐polymer electrolyte (GPE) exhibits an increased flash point, suitable ionic conductivity, and a stable performance in lithium‐ion battery cells.

Regulation of the Drosophila ID protein Extra macrochaetae by proneural dimerization partners

open access: yeseLife, 2018
Proneural bHLH proteins are transcriptional regulators of neural fate specification. Extra macrochaetae (Emc) forms inactive heterodimers with both proneural bHLH proteins and their bHLH partners (represented in Drosophila by Daughterless).

Comparative Study of High Voltage Spinel∥Lithium Titanate Lithium‐ion Batteries in Ethylene Carbonate Free Electrolytes

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2025.
FEC and sulfone‐based co‐solvents are investigated as EC‐free electrolytes for LNMO∥LTO cells. FEC‐containing electrolytes demonstrate enhanced electrochemical stability by stabilizing the CEI and SEI layers, mitigating transition metal migration. Conversely, sulfone electrolytes form thinner CEIs and thick, sulfur‐rich SEIs, which are less effective ...

An effective and low-cost measurement system for EMC pre-compliance testing of radiated emissions in the range 2-8 GHz [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The pre-compliance measurement of radiated emissions from printed circuit boards (PCBs) is here addressed. In particular an effective and low-cost measurement system is described for pre-compliance radiated emission tests in the range 2–8 GHz and ...
