Material‐Gradient Enabled Enhancement of Strength and Strain‐Hardening of Lattice Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study employs material gradients in lattice structures via alloy‐controlled additive manufacturing, decoupling mechanical behavior from geometry. Gradients guide stable plastic fronts, enhancing plateau stress and energy absorption by up to 25.4%.

Electric Field‐Stimulated Autofluorescence for In Situ 3D Characterization of Polymer Defects

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Moderate electric fields induce intrinsic autofluorescence at microscale defects within diverse polymers under laser excitation. Combined with confocal microscopy, this probe‐free method enables real‐time, submicron‐resolution 3D imaging of voids, fillers, and electrical trees before irreversible damage occurs.

Broad Redox Density of States and S–O Functionalities Drive Stable Pseudocapacitive Behavior in Sulfurized Polyacrylonitrile (SPAN) Cathodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We report a fundamental mechanism underlying charge storage in sulfurized polyacrylonitrile cathodes. Stable sulfuroxygen groups and a broad redox density of states enable pseudocapacitive behavior distinct from conventional sulfur cathodes. Through combined spectroscopic and electrochemical analysis, this study reveals key structurefunction ...

TRIP/TWIP Networks Promoted via Multifunctional Nanoprecipitates‐confined Specified Shear for Achieving Strong‐yet‐Ductile Titanium Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Comprehensive theoretical calculation methods are employed for composition design to manipulate precipitates with deformation heterogeneity for facilitating TRIP/TWIP effects. Selected alloy exhibits dense TRIP/TWIP networks at > 830 MPa yield stress and record yield strength‐ductility synergy in titanium alloys. The results offer an individual pathway

Decreased RYR2 Cluster Size and Abnormal SR Ca2+ Release Contribute to Arrhythmogenesis in TMEM43‐Related ARVC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The TMEM43 ‐ P386S mutation causes arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) by mislocalizing itself from nuclear envelope (NE) to cytoplasm, disrupting lamin B2 (a novel TMEM43 interactor) localization, NE integrity and chromatin accessibility, causing hyper ‐ phosphorylation and reduced expression/clustering of ryanodine receptor type 2 (

Retrospective analysis of trauma patients transported by dispatch monitored type B ambulances to Dhulikhel Hospital, Kavre, Nepal, 2019–2023

open access: yesInternational Journal of Emergency Medicine
Background Timely emergency medical services (EMS) are particularly important among trauma patients, as inefficient EMS systems can result in potentially avoidable death before reaching a hospital.
