The Emission Characteristics of Fluorescent Pigments

Journal of the Optical Society of America, 1949
Emission spectra are shown for five pigments whose fluorescent colors are blue, green, yellow, orange, and red. These are compared to reflectance spectra of paints tinted to approximate, in daylight, the fluorescent colors of the five pigments and to a series of standard artist’s colors.

Emission characteristics of a conical field emission gun

Journal of Vacuum Science & Technology B: Microelectronics and Nanometer Structures Processing, Measurement, and Phenomena, 1998
Characteristics of a conical field emission gun (FEG) are measured and discussed. The field emission current from a W emitter is found to obey the Fowler–Nordheim (FN) equation. An expression was given describing the dependence of the mean work function on the curvature radius at the vertex of the emitter.

Spatiotemporal characteristics of laser emission. I

Journal of Soviet Laser Research, 1990
The first chapter describes the general premises of the electrodynamic theory of the laser as a nonstationary nonlinear oscillatory system with spatially distributed parameters. Maxwell's equations are used to derive an equation for the complex amplitude of the electromagnetic field in a cavity filled with transversely inhomogeneous active medium.

Field emission characteristics of Carbon Buckypaper

IVMC 2001. Proceedings of the 14th International Vacuum Microelectronics Conference (Cat. No.01TH8586), 2002
Carbon buckypaper was investigated with respect to field-emission properties and long-term stability, especially under well-defined stress conditions. The carbon buckypaper field emitters showed a threshold field strength of about 1 V μm−1 for an emission current of 1 nA.

Microwave Emission Characteristics of Oil Slicks

Journal of Hydronautics, 1971
Dependence of microwave emission on oil type, age, film thickness, observational wavelength, antenna viewing angle and polarization was examined in the laboratory. Airborne measurements of controlled oil spills were subsequently performed at wavelengths of 8.1 and 3.2 mm for several refined and crude oil slicks, over a broad range of ocean surface and ...

Study of microwave emissivity characteristics of city

2011 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2011
The spectrums of different land types are very important in the application of remote sensing, which can be used in surface classification, change detection, and so on. The microwave emissivity of these land types are the foundation of land parameters retrieval using passive microwave remote sensing.

Flame characteristics and emission

Spectrochimica Acta, 1961
Abstract Several combustion characteristics which play a role in the radiation of flames are reviewed. The limits of inflammability of various combustible mixtures used in analytical flame spectroscopy, together with their ignition temperature, burning and detonation velocity and detonation pressure are examined briefly.

Emission characteristics of semiconductor cathodes

Electronics and Communications in Japan (Part II: Electronics), 2001
AbstractThis paper describes emission characteristics of MOS (metal–oxide–semiconductor) electron tunneling cathodes and Si field emitters, and shows that their characteristics reflect the energy band structures of the semiconductor and the electron transport in an incorporated semiconductor device. In addition, it proposes hybrid electronics combining
