USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Extracellular vesicle lipidomics liquid biopsy reveals systemic and tumor microenvironment metabolic reprogramming in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Extracellular vesicle (EV) lipidomic profiling of plasma and ascites from patients with high‐grade serous ovarian cancer and of ovarian cancer cell lines reveals enrichment of triglycerides (TGs), diacylglycerols (DGs), phosphatidylcholine (PCs), sphingomyelins (SMs), reflecting tumor metabolic reprogramming.

Fatores de emissão de compostos carbonílicos medidos em um túnel do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, em condições reais de dirigibilidade

open access: yesQuímica Nova
Real-world vehicle emissions of carbonyls compounds (CC) were determined at the Rebouças Tunnel, Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). The tunnel is a two-bore tunnel with three lanes in each direction and has a length of 2840 m, divided in two sections.

Transient Characterization of Automotive Exhaust Emission from Different Vehicle Types Based on On-Road Measurements

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2020
Previous works on real-world vehicle emission characteristics have mainly focused on the influences of fuel, speed, vehicle type, elevation, and other factors on vehicle emission quantity and components.

Temporal variation in nitrous oxide (N2O) fluxes from an oil palm plantation in Indonesia: An ecosystem‐scale analysis

open access: yesGCB Bioenergy, 2023
The rapidly growing areal extent of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) plantations and their high fertilizer input raises concerns about their role as substantial N2O sources.

Environmental/economic dispatch considering emission benefit factor in the emission trading environment

open access: yes, 2011
PurposeThe efficiency of the emission trading system (ETS) may help to control the total emission amount. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the generating cost issue in environmental/economic power dispatch, under the premise that the ETS has ...

Carbon dioxide emission factor estimation from Indonesian coal [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Climate change will become the priority for the air quality management. It focuses more on carbon dioxide emission. Indonesia which has power generation dominated by coal combustion is expected to develop the national CO2 emission factor. Due to the high

Regulation of the lncRNA NEAT1 by p53‐ΔNp63 crosstalk modulates the DNA damage response and therapeutic efficacy in HNSCC

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) p53 and p63 exert opposite roles on the transcription regulation of the lncRNA NEAT1. Under basal conditions, p53 levels are low and p63 represses NEAT1 expression. Upon genotoxic stress, p53 is rapidly induced, displacing p63 from the NEAT1 promoter leading to NEAT1 transcriptional activation and ...
