6C radio galaxies at z~1: The influence of radio power on the alignment effect
Powerful radio galaxies often display enhanced optical/UV continuum emission and extended emission line regions, elongated and aligned with the radio jet axis.

Spectrophotometry of three emission-line galaxies.
Spectrophotometric data concerning three blue emission-line galaxies were obtained from image-tube spectrograms secured with the 84-inch reflector of the Kitt Peak National Observatory. Analysis of these data indicated a level of excitation similar to that of low- or moderate-excitation galactic H II regions.

Probing cosmic voids with emission-line galaxies
IntroductionWe aim to provide forecasts for future line intensity mapping (LIM) observations and galaxy redshift surveys, focusing on the physical properties of low-density region of the cosmic web (voids).

A Catalog of Broad Hα and Hβ Active Galactic Nuclei in MaNGA
Broad H α and H β emission lines (FWHM > 1000 km s ^−1 ) are incredibly efficient tracers of the high-velocity clouds encircling active galactic nuclei (AGNs).

Near-infrared spectroscopy of a large sample of low-metallicity blue compact dwarf galaxies
We present near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopic observations in the wavelength range 0.90-2.40mum of eighteen low-metallicity blue compact dwarf (BCD) galaxies and six HII regions in spiral and interacting galaxies.

Hα emission line morphologies in Markarian starburst galaxies
We present broad band R and narrow band H alpha emission line images of a sample of optically selected starburst galaxies from the Markarian lists. The emission line morphology is studied and global properties like luminosities, equivalent widths and star formation rates are derived.

We searched the Chandra and XMM archives for 900 Green Pea galaxies to identify signs of active galactic nuclei (AGN). Green peas are low-mass, emission-line galaxies that resemble high-redshift dwarf galaxies. From 29 observations, we detected X-rays in

Physical properties of z~4 LBGs: differences between galaxies with and without Ly-alpha emission
We have analysed the physical properties of z~4 Lyman Break Galaxies observed in the GOODS-S survey, in order to investigate the possible differences between galaxies where the Ly-alpha is present in emission, and those where the line is absent or in ...
