Iron emission line from the spiral galaxy M 101 [PDF]

open access: yesPublications of the Astronomical Society of Japan, 2015
Abstract Archival Suzaku data of the face-on spiral galaxy M 101 were analyzed. An intense emission line at 6.72$^{+0.10}_{-0.12}\:$keV was detected in the central region. This line is identified with a K-line from He-like iron, which indicates the existence of a thin thermal plasma with a temperature of several keV.

Emission-line Diagnostics at z > 4: [O iii]λ4364/Hγ versus [Ne iii]λ3870/[O ii]λ3730

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We use JWST Near-Infrared Spectrograph observations from the Cosmic Evolution Early Release survey, GLASS-JWST ERS (GLASS), and JWST Advanced Deep Extragalactic Survey to measure rest-frame optical emission-line ratios of 89 galaxies at z  > 4.

The Origin of [O II] Emission in Recently Quenched Active Galaxy Nucleus Hosts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We have employed emission-line diagnostics derived from DEIMOS and NIRSPEC spectroscopy to determine the origin of the [O II] emission line observed in six active galactic nucleus (AGN) hosts at z ~ 0.9.

CEERS Key Paper. VIII. Emission-line Ratios from NIRSpec and NIRCam Wide-Field Slitless Spectroscopy at z > 2

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We  use James Webb Space Telescope Near-Infrared Camera Wide Field Slitless Spectroscopy (NIRCam WFSS) and the Near-Infrared spectrograph (NIRSpec) in the Cosmic Evolution Early Release survey to measure rest-frame optical emission-line ratios of 155 ...

Shining a Light on the Connections between Galactic Outflows Seen in Absorption and Emission Lines

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Galactic outflows provide important feedback effects to regulate the evolution of host galaxies. Two primary diagnostics of outflows are broad and/or blueshifted emission and absorption lines.
