MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

MODELING MOLECULAR HYPERFINE LINE EMISSION [PDF]
In this paper we discuss two approximate methods previously suggested for modeling hyperfine spectral line emission for molecules whose collisional transitions rates between hyperfine levels are unknown. Hyperfine structure is seen in the rotational spectra of many commonly observed molecules such as HCN, HNC, NH3, N2H+, and C17O.

BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Monitoring Gas Void Fraction In Two-Phase Flow With Acoustic Emission [PDF]
The two-phase gas/liquid flow phenomenon can be encountered over a range of gas and liquid flow rates in the chemical engineering industry, particularly in oil and gas production transportation pipelines.

Translating whole‐genome doubling into precision medicine in cancer
Whole‐genome doubling creates a WGD‐positive tumor state characterized by persistent chromosomal instability, karyotypic diversification, and cellular stress. These same biological pressures drive aggressive tumor evolution while exposing therapeutic vulnerabilities, providing a rationale for WGD‐informed precision medicine. Whole‐genome doubling (WGD)

Chromospheric Mg I emission lines of pre-main-sequence stars [PDF]
Context. To reveal details of the internal structure, the relationship between chromospheric activity and the Rossby number has been extensively examined for main-sequence stars. For active pre-main-sequence (PMS) stars, it is suggested that the level of

Molecular emission lines from simulations of AGN-driven molecular outflows [PDF]
Observations of AGN host galaxies have detected fast molecular outflows, with velocities up to ~1000 km/s and outflow rates up to ~1000 Msol/yr. To explore the origin of these molecular outflows, we ran simulations of an isotropic AGN wind interacting ...

Joint Analysis of the Iron Emission in the Optical and Near-Infrared Spectrum of I Zw 1
Constraining the physical conditions of the ionized media in the vicinity of an active supermassive black hole (SMBH) is crucial to understanding how these complex systems operate.

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

On the polarization of resonantly scattered emission lines -- III. Polarization of quasar broad emission lines and broad absorption line troughs [PDF]
The contribution to the expected linear polarization of quasar broad emission and absorption lines from resonance scattering is computed using a Monte Carlo approach for specific, generic models.
