Metacognition of Emotion Recognition

open access: yes, 2013
Are people able to determine when they are correct or incorrect in their interpretation of another's emotional state? This question of whether or not individuals are capable of making accurate judgments about this ability was briefly explored in a handful of studies that concluded that individuals could not make such judgments.

Artificially Weaved Textile‐like Surface Micromachined Graphene‐Polymer Flexible Bioelectrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study reports on the engineering of microscale textured surfaces of SU‐8/PMMA polymer composites much like a “weft‐warp” pattern to resemble “artificially‐weaved” textiles. These microstructured surfaces enable conformal layering of functional reduced graphene oxide (rGO), all‐in‐all offering favorable features including remarkable self ...

Intelligent Eye Tracker Integrated with Cylindrical Capacitive Sensors for Chronic Fatigue Assessment

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
A wearable capacitive eye tracker for chronic fatigue assessment is presented, utilizing cylindrically shaped capacitive sensors made of a carbon nanotube‐paper composite. By integrating a novel fatigue‐induction protocol with machine learning, the device achieves 0.75‐sensitivity and 0.73‐specificity, providing a practical alternative to existing ...

Altered Brain‐Behavior Association During Resting State is a Potential Psychosis Risk Marker

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The study detects a potential multimodal biomarker that can be promising for identifying early markers of psychosis. It shows a consistent brain‐behavior association between a circuit of interconnected regions and executive function in neurotypical controls and individuals at various stages of psychosis.

RONIN/HCF1‐TFEB Axis Protects Against D‐Galactose‐Induced Cochlear Hair Cell Senescence Through Autophagy Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
D‐galactose (D‐gal) induced inner ear hair cell senescence by inhibiting TFEB transcription. RONIN/HCF1 promotes TFEB transcription to prevent cochlear HCs from D‐gal‐induced senescence through autophagy activation. Abstract Age‐related hearing loss is characterized by senescent inner ear hair cells (HCs) and reduced autophagy.

Facial Emotion Recognition

open access: yes, 2018
Emotion is a complex conscious that humans experience as a result of interactions with the environment. The project basically takes in the image, recognises the emotion by fragmenting the image with the deep learning technique using CNN. The tools and framework used here are keras and TensorFlow respectively.

Single‐Cell Atlas Reveals Tumorigenic Profiles and Immune Dynamics of Adrenal Incidentalomas

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell RNA sequencing reveals cellular heterogeneity in adrenal incidentalomas, identifying distinct tumor cell populations. Clusterin is recognized as a biomarker for adrenocortical tumors, correlating with established markers. MYCN‐positive clusters in pheochromocytomas indicated poorer survival.
