Lymphocyte Emperipolesis in Human Glial Cells
Cell Adhesion and Communication, 1993Astrocytes have been observed to contain intact, viable lymphocytes within their cytoplasm (emperipolesis) in multiple sclerosis plaques and some brain tumors. This study characterizes the adhesive, emperipoletic and phagocytic properties of glial cells in culture.

Coccidioidomycosis with emperipolesis in fine needle aspiration
Cytopathology, 2019While this case of coccidioidomycosis presenting with emperipolesis, may be a one‐off unusual presentation, it is important, nevertheless, to consider the possibility of coccidioidomycosis when confronted with this rare morphological finding during evaluation of cytology specimens.

Emperipolesis of Lymphoid Neoplastie Cells in Feline Hepatocytes
Veterinary Pathology, 1989Occasional lymphocytes and other leukocytes in guinea pig, rabbit, and human hepatocytes were described in 1944.2 Here we report emperipolesis in the liver of two cats with severe liver damage and intracellular neoplastic lymphoid cells in most hepatocytes.

[Emperipolesis (hypotheses and facts)].
TSitologiia i genetika, 1997This report is dedicated of modern notion about new biological phenomenon which was named emperipolesis in 1956. On the basis of proper data, morphofunctional characteristics of character of concept about existence of "megakaryocytic-leukocytic" type of emperipolesis is substantiated.

Lymphocyte emperipolesis in AIDS.
Lymphology, 1989Excepting sperm, lymphocytes are the most motile cells within and outside of the body in mammals. In the body, lymphocytes are the primary victims of the Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS). This photo-essay illustrates that migrant lymphocytes outside of the body are the primary vectors of AIDS spread.
