Emulsion Templating: Porous Polymers and Beyond
Emulsion templating presently extends far beyond the original hydrophobic porous polymers that were synthesized within surfactant-stabilized water-in-oil high internal phase emulsions (HIPEs) by us...

The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.

Fragmentation channels of relativistic $^7$Be nuclei in peripheral interactions [PDF]
Nuclei of $^7$Li were accelerated at the JINR Nuclotron. After the charge-exchange reaction involving these nuclei at an external target a second $^7$Be beam of energy 1.23A GeV was formed. This beam was used to expose photo-emulsion chambers.

Hydration and Barrier Properties of Emulsions with the Addition of Keratin Hydrolysate
Although keratin hydrolysates (KH) are added to skin care agents, detailed studies on the moisturising effects of KH are lacking. The aim of this study is to test whether adding KH into an ointment base (OB) heighten hydration of the skin and diminish ...

Droplets formation inside a venturi liquid mixer [PDF]
The formation of a coarse photographic emulsion by entraining a hot oil phase into a cooler aqueous phase by a Venturi device is considered. The main focus is on understanding the mechanism and site of droplet formation in the device, as well as the time-

The formation of nonmetallic inclusions (NMIs) was investigated in this study, carrying out immersion tests for 30 min at a temperature of 1600°C with liquid high‐silicon electrical steel (Si ≈ 3 mass‐%) and different MgO–C refractories. Conventional MgO–C refractories were considered, as well as MgO–C refractories containing MgO–C recyclate and ...
