Virology, 1979Abstract The California encephalitis viruses contain two type “A” membrane glycoproteins. The large glycoprotein contains two oligosaccharide species, each with at least one sialylated form. The small glycoprotein contains only the smaller of these oligosaccharide species and two sialylated forms.
