This study investigates the breeding success of the critically endangered White‐rumped Vulture in Khaireni Community Forest, and examines local knowledge and perceptions toward its conservation. We found that 71% of active nests were successful, with breeding success significantly influenced by the proximity to carcass deposition sites.

Nesting ecology of an ice‐associated seabird, Kittlitz's murrelet, at the northern edge of its range

We studied the Kittlitz's murrelet, an ice‐associated seabird of conservation concern, at the northern edge of its range. Over a 2‐year period, we estimated nest density and success at 2 sites, captured and telemetered nesting murrelets, and tested the use of a thermal camera to improve nest detection.

Accuracy of wildlife observations identified by citizen scientists in Florida

Citizen scientists varied widely in their ability to identify wildlife, with bird identifications substantially more accurate than those of snakes, mustelids, and panthers.
