Trachoma as an Endemic Disease in Egypt
American Journal of Ophthalmology, 1935This is a study of 4000 patients in regard to incidence and course of trachoma, showing that it is acquired in infancy, and that personal hygiene and diet added to local irritation are factors in its causation. For prophylaxis, care of the eyes of babies from birth in local antitrachoma dispensaries is necessary.
