Dual Labor Market and Endogenous Fluctuations [PDF]

open access: yes
We study the influence of wage differential on the emergence of endogenous fluctuations. In this way, we introduce a dual labor market, based on the Shapiro-Stiglitz efficiency wage theory in an overlapping generations model. We show that wage inequality

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Antioxidant Potentials and Nephroprotective Effects of Methanol Extract and Dichloromethane Fraction of Root Bark of Garcinia kola (Heckel) on Gentamicin-Induced Nephrotoxic Rats

open access: yesUMYU Scientifica Journal
This study investigated the nephroprotective and antioxidant effects of methanol extract (ME) and dichloromethane fraction (DCMF) from the root bark of Garcinia kola against gentamicin-induced nephrotoxicity in rats.

On Taxation in a Two-Sector Endogenous Growth Model with Endogenous Labor Supply [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper studies the effects of taxation on long-run growth in a two-sector endogenous growth model with (i) physical capital as an input in the education sector and (ii) leisure as an additional argument in the utility function. Due to the flexibility

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

STEA-Net: An Endogenous Multi-Pollutant-Driven Spatio-Temporal Framework for Urban PM2.5 Forecasting

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Elevated concentrations of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) are a critical threat to respiratory health worldwide. Therefore, there is an urgent need for precise urban forecasting systems for public health management.

Fertility Choices, Human Capital Accumulation, and Endogenous Volatility [PDF]

open access: yes
In a three-period overlapping generations model, I show that different combinations of preference and technological parameters can lead to different patterns on the joint evolution of human capital and (endogenous) fertility choices.

Epigenetic silencing of the liver‐specific lncRNA LUNAR promotes liver cancer progression via NOTCH activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
LUNAR is a liver‐specific long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) that is highly expressed in normal liver but becomes epigenetically silenced in hepatocellular carcinoma through promoter hypermethylation. Loss of LUNAR is associated with NOTCH activation, epithelial–mesenchymal transition, and metastasis, whereas restoring LUNAR restrains metastatic progression ...

Money, Endogenous Fertility and Economic Growth

open access: yes, 2003
This paper analyzes the issue of money superneutrality through an intertemporal optimizing model of capital accumulation with endogenous fertility, i.e. endogenous population growth.

Translating whole‐genome doubling into precision medicine in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Whole‐genome doubling creates a WGD‐positive tumor state characterized by persistent chromosomal instability, karyotypic diversification, and cellular stress. These same biological pressures drive aggressive tumor evolution while exposing therapeutic vulnerabilities, providing a rationale for WGD‐informed precision medicine. Whole‐genome doubling (WGD)
