Cystathionine gamma‐lyase‐mediated hypoxia inducible factor 1‐alpha expression drives clear cell ovarian cancer progression

open access: yesThe Journal of Pathology, EarlyView.
Abstract Clear cell ovarian cancer (CCOC) is the second most common ovarian cancer subtype, accounting for 5%–11% of ovarian cancers in North America. Late‐stage CCOC is associated with a worse prognosis compared to other ovarian cancer histotypes, a challenge that has seen limited progress in recent decades.

Comparative Analysis of the Progesterone Receptor Interactome in the Human Ovarian Granulosa Cell Line KGN and Other Female Reproductive Cells

open access: yesPROTEOMICS, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The nuclear steroid hormone receptor progesterone receptor (PGR) is expressed in granulosa cells in the ovarian follicle in a tightly regulated pattern in response to the surge of luteinizing hormone (LH) that stimulates ovulation. PGR plays a critical role in mediating ovulation in response to LH, however, the mechanism for this is still ...

Application of high‐dose‐rate endorectal brachytherapy in the treatment of locally advanced rectal cancer

open access: yesPrecision Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
This image compares the studies included in this article with the meta‐analysis from the Cochrane Library, indicating that the incorporation of brachytherapy in neoadjuvant treatment for rectal cancer can achieve better pathological response rates. Additionally, the use of brachytherapy can reduce the local recurrence rate in patients.
