Hemodynamics in endomyocardial fibrosis
American Heart Journal, 1974Abstract Nine patients with endomyocardial fibrosis have been studied. The clinical diagnosis was confirmed by right ventricular angiography in all of them. They were submitted to right and left ventricular catheterization and had the cardiac pressures, the pulmonary arteriolar resistance, and the cardiac index measured.

Diffuse endomyocardial fibrosis
The American Journal of Medicine, 1963Abstract Two morphologic types of endomyocardial fibrosis are described. The roentgenographic aspects and the anatomic and histologic data which define them are indicated, making it possible to establish the differential diagnosis between the two anatomic typesduring the lifetime of the patient.

Eosinophilia and endomyocardial fibrosis
The American Journal of Cardiology, 1976A 12 year old boy died after a 3 year course of recurrent and progressive heart failure. His cardiac symptoms began with a marked leukocytosis (white blood cell count 188,500/mm3) due to eosinophilia (90 percent). In 6 months, the leukocytosis and eosinophilia subsided, but the patient's heart failure progressed over the next 2 1/2 years.

A profile of endomyocardial fibrosis
The Indian Journal of Pediatrics, 1987EMF is a restrictive cardiomyopathy of tropics and has its onset in children and young adults who belong to the poorer strata of society. Endomyocardial fibrosis in dermatomyositis
International Journal of Cardiology, 1990The case reported in this paper, besides illustrating many of the clinical and pathological aspects of chronic dermatomyositis, documents a yet undescribed feature of involvement of the heart in dermatomyositis, namely endomyocardial fibrosis. The pathogenetic mechanism of such a happening is discussed, and its possible relationship to tropical ...
