The metabolites of a mangrove endophytic fungus,Penicillium thomi
Journal of Asian Natural Products Research, 2007The chemical constituents research of the fermentation of Penicillium thomi separated from the root of Bruguiera gymnorrhiza led to the isolation of a new compound, 4',5-dihydroxy-2,3-dimethoxy-4-(hydroxypropyl)-biphenyl (1) and 11 known compounds. The structures of isolated compounds were determined by spectroscopic and chemical analysis.

Trichodermanin A, a novel diterpenoid from endophytic fungus culture
Journal of Natural Medicines, 2011Trichodermanin A, a structurally unique diterpenoid with skeletal carbons arranged compactly in a fused 6-5-6-6 ring system, has been isolated from cultures of Trichoderma atroviride (strain no. S361), an endophytic fungus isolate in Cephalotaxus fortunei.

Sesquiterpenoids from the Endophytic Fungus Rhinocladiella similis
Journal of Natural Products, 2019Ten new sesquiterpenoid derivatives, rhinomilisins A-J (1-10), along with six known analogues (11-16), were isolated from the mangrove-derived endophytic fungus Rhinocladiella similis. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated by their NMR and MS data, while the absolute configuration of 3 and 6 was determined by X-ray crystallographic ...

Variable effects of endophytic fungus on seedling establishment of fine fescues
Oecologia, 2008Seedborne systemic endophytic fungi of grasses are thought to be plant mutualists, because they have been shown to improve their host's resistance against biotic and abiotic stresses. The interactions in plant-endophyte associations vary from mutualistic to parasitic with environmental conditions and the genotypes of interacting species.

Plant Tissue Preparation for the Detection of an Endophytic Fungus In Planta
2016The identification of fungal endophytes often relies on culturing isolates from surface-sterilized plant tissue. However, molecular techniques have enabled the rapid detection and identification of targeted endophyte species, and next-generation sequencing technology provides an opportunity to obtain comprehensive information on endophytic communities,

Four new polyketides from an endophytic fungus Talaromyces muroii
FitoterapiaIn our continuous work on the isolation of endophytes, the endophytic fungal strain YIMF00209 was obtained from the roots of Gmelina arborea, which is an ethnic medicinal plant mainly distributed in Southeast Asia. The fermentation extracts of the strain exhibited significant antimicrobial activities against Staphylococcus aureus, Fusarium solani, and ...

Characterization of Camptothecin Biosynthesis in Endophytic Fungus from Camptotheca Acuminate
Plant Physiology and BiochemistryCamptothecin (CPT), a well-known terpene indole alkaloid (TIA), exhibits anti-cancer activity by inhibiting the activity of eukaryotic topoisomerase I. The reliance on camptothecin (CPT) extraction from medicinal plants limites pharmaceutical manufacturing output.
