Alkaloids isolated from the endophytic fungus Fusarium concentricum [PDF]
Endophytic fungi are an important resource for bioactive natural products. In this study, a new tryptophan derivative fusaconate A (1) and three pyridone alkaloids, including one new pyridone derivative 1′-methoxy-6′-epi-oxysporidinone (2) and two known ...

The heterocyst‐rich Encephalartos natalensis cyanobacterial zone in coralloid root suggests co‐option of conserved symbiosis‐associated genes. This figure was created in BioRender (BioRender.com/https://BioRender.com/n3qveqc). Summary Plant‐cyanobacterial symbioses have evolved independently at least four times across land plants, yet their underlying ...

Hydronaphthalenones and a Dihydroramulosin from the Endophytic Fungus PSU-N24
Three new hydronaphthalenone derivatives (1-3) and one new dihydroramulosin derivative (4), were isolated from the endophytic fungus PSU-N24 together with eight known compounds. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods. Griseofulvin (9) displayed strong antifungal activity against Microsporum gypseum SH-MU-4 with a minimum inhibitory ...

Sipeimine-Producing Endophytic Fungus Isolated from
Abstract Ten strains of endophytic fungi were isolated from the bulbs of the traditional Chinese medicinal plant Fritillaria ussuriensis. The extract from one of them, Fu7, showed a positive reaction with Dragendorff’s reagent and the same Rf value in thin-layer chromatography (TLC) analysis as authentic sipeimine.

Global distribution and biogeography of ericoid mycorrhizal fungi
Global predictions of local ericoid mycorrhizal fungal richness, its latitudinal trends and environmental predictors. Summary Ericoid mycorrhizal (ErM) fungi play a crucial role across terrestrial ecosystems, forming mutualistic symbiosis with Ericaceae and contributing to soil organic matter dynamics.

Jasmonate signalling underpins establishment of plant systemic acquired resistance (SAR). Activation of the hypersensitive response (HR) not only contains the pathogen but establishes broad spectrum resistance in unchallenged leaves. The strong burst of reactive oxygen/nitrogen species initiating the HR results in lipid peroxidation (illustrated by ...

ABSTRACT Salinity is a major threat to global agricultural productivity of staple crops such as wheat. Although microbial‐based solutions hold promise for alleviating salinity stress, practical implementation is hindered by insufficient mechanistic characterization of bioinoculants and their interactions with plants.
