Endoribonuclease activity associated with animal RNA viruses [PDF]
A specific endoribonucleolytic activity was detected when detergent-lysed vesicular stomatitis of Sendai virus was incubated with the precursor to Escherichia coli tRNA Tyr. The cleavage products produced and the characteristics of the reaction were similar to those previously reported for human KB cell RNase NU.

Mutational and Kinetic Analysis of APE1 Endoribonuclease Activity [PDF]
Human apurinic/apyrimidinic endonuclease 1 (APE1) participates in the DNA repair system. It is believed that the main biological function of APE1 is Mg^(2+)-dependent hydrolysis of AP-sites in DNA. On the base of structural data, kinetic studies, and mutation analysis, the key stages of APE1 interaction with damaged DNA were established.

Regulated Inositol‐Requiring Protein 1‐Dependent Decay as a Mechanism of Corin RNA and Protein Deficiency in Advanced Human Systolic Heart Failure [PDF]
BACKGROUND: The compensatory actions of the endogenous natriuretic peptide system require adequate processing of natriuretic peptide pro‐hormones into biologically active, carboxyl‐terminal fragments.

Endoribonuclease IV. 2. Further Investigation on the Specificity [PDF]
The poly(A)-specific endoribonuclease IV produces oligo(A) fragments of a chain length of 10 AMP nucleotides. One enzyme molecule performs 1700 cleavages per min; the cleavages occur randomly. The endoribonuclease IV is a nuclear enzyme which is present in the oviduct of quails in a concentration of 40 000 enzyme molecules per cell. Poly(A) segments on

Functional plasticity of antibacterial EndoU toxins. [PDF]
Bacteria use several different secretion systems to deliver toxic EndoU ribonucleases into neighboring cells. Here, we present the first structure of a prokaryotic EndoU toxin in complex with its cognate immunity protein.

Drosophila CG3303 is an essential endoribonuclease linked to TDP-43-mediated neurodegeneration [PDF]
Endoribonucleases participate in almost every step of eukaryotic RNA metabolism, acting either as degradative or biosynthetic enzymes. We previously identified the founding member of the Eukaryotic EndoU ribonuclease family, whose components display ...

The structure of Rph, an exoribonuclease from Bacillus anthracis, at 1.7 angstrom resolution [PDF]
Maturation of tRNA precursors into functional tRNA molecules requires trimming of the primary transcript at both the 5' and 3' ends. Cleavage of nucleotides from the 3' stem of tRNA precursors, releasing nucleotide diphosphates, is accomplished in ...
