Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Impact of Successful Choanal Atresia Repair on the Nasal Mucosa: A Preliminary Study
Introduction The main histological features of the nasal mucosa in choanal atresia are distorted cilia, marked increase of mucous submucosal glands associated with marked reduction of goblet cell density, and lymphocytic cellular infiltration.

Safety of laparoscopic graspers with different configurations during liver tissue clamping
Laparoscopic graspers often induce liver damage when large forces are applied during clamping. Here, the safety of graspers with different edge curvature radii, teeth profiles, and jaw windows was evaluated experimentally using a tissue damage assessment

Objective The concern that nonsteroidal anti‐inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may precipitate flares of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) has limited their use in managing musculoskeletal symptoms in those with IBD, but safety data are mixed. Methods This retrospective cohort study included patients with IBD aged at least 18 years from Optum's deidentified ...

Hand–eye calibration using a target registration error model
Surgical cameras are prevalent in modern operating theatres and are often used as a surrogate for direct vision. Visualisation techniques (e.g. image fusion) made possible by tracking the camera require accurate hand–eye calibration between the camera ...

Construction of extended 3D field of views of the internal bladder wall surface: a proof of concept
3D extended field of views (FOVs) of the internal bladder wall facilitate lesion diagnosis, patient follow-up and treatment traceability. In this paper, we propose a 3D image mosaicing algorithm guided by 2D cystoscopic video-image registration for ...

Nanodiamond Quantum Sensors for Probing Free Radical Biology
Free radicals play key roles in cellular signaling and disease but remain difficult to measure in living systems. Nanodiamonds (NDs) with nitrogen‐vacancy (NV) centers enable quantum sensing of local magnetic noise via T₁ relaxometry, providing nondestructive radical detection in living cells.
