Endovascular Repair of the Ruptured Aneurysm [PDF]
Despite advances in the management of ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysms (RAAA), the mortality remains high. Approximately 6,000 men per year die from RAAA in England and Wales, accounting for 2% of deaths(1). In 2009 the UK National Vascular Database reported approximately 17% of aneurysms treated were ruptured, with an open mortality of 38%(2).

ABSTRACT Aortoesophageal fistula (AEF) is a rare but life‐threatening condition. Initial management typically includes thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) or aortic graft replacement to achieve hemostasis, followed by esophagectomy with aortic graft replacement and greater omentum wrapping to eliminate the source of infection.

Endobridging of Iliac Artery Avulsion Complicating Endovascular Aortic Aneurysm Repair
: Introduction: Iliac avulsion is a potentially catastrophic complication of endovascular procedures, which requires immediate recognition and repair. This study describes an innovative approach to manage this serious complication.

Endovascular repair of an abdominal aortic aneurysm associated with crossed fused renal ectopia
Chimney/snorkel endovascular aneurysm repair (Ch-EVAR) enables the minimally invasive treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysm in anatomically challenging and high-risk surgical cases. Here, we present the case of a 77-year-old man with an abdominal aortic

Thoracic aorta cardiac-cycle related dynamic changes assessed with a 256-slice CT scanner [PDF]
Objective: The aim of our study was to demonstrate whether the dynamic changes previously documented at the ascending and abdominal aorta are replicated at the thoracic aorta.

ABSTRACT A 23‐year‐old Afghan man presented with a traumatic carotid‐jugular fistula (CJF) and a right common carotid pseudoaneurysm following a gunshot wound. Persistent neck pain and pulsation led to imaging, which revealed an aneurysmal dilation and fistulous connection.

Endovascular repair of an abdominal aortic aneurysm associated with ectopic kidney: A case report
Classical surgical repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms associated with kidney anomalies is described as a very difficult process due to abnormal vascular and excretory system anatomy, and endovascular aneurysm repair does not often seem to be an ...

Type IIIB endoleak from stent suture lines of a thoracic endograft
We report a case of a patient with type IIIB endoleak after thoracic endovascular aortic repair that remained undetected by computed tomography and was first diagnosed during open conversion surgery.
