Chemical Cleaning Endpoint Determination Using Electrochemical Techniques

CORROSION 1985, 1985
Abstract Theoretically, it is possible to use a measure of voltage difference (ΔE) between an iron electrode and a second electrode to follow the concentration of iron in chemical cleaning solutions, as predicted by the following equation: ΔE=A+Blog[Fe]where A and B are characteristics of the cleaning solvent.

Automatic endpoint determination for batch tea dryers

2001
A laboratory batch fluid-bed dryer was developed for handling small samples of tea for experimental batch manufacture, and this dryer required a means of stopping drying when the process was complete. A control system was devised which requires only the initial weight of the sample to be entered into the controller.

Algorithm for determining the endpoints of isolated utterances

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1974
An important problem in speech processing is to detect the presence of speech in a background of noise. This problem is often referred to as the endpoint location problem. By accurately detecting the beginning and end of an utterance, the amount of processing of the speech data can be kept to a minimum. The algorithm proposed for locating the endpoints

Determination of a segment endpoint by means of the Radon transform

ICECS'99. Proceedings of ICECS '99. 6th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems (Cat. No.99EX357), 2003
In this paper, a detection algorithm for linear features based on the Radon transform (RT) and on the continuous wavelet transform (CWT) is addressed. Particular emphasis is put on the discussion of the fast algorithm for the RT implementation; the errors introduced by RT discretization and data interpolation are discussed, and counteractions are ...

Changing the Endpoints for Determining Effective Obesity Management

Progress in Cardiovascular Diseases, 2015
Health authorities worldwide recommend weight loss as a primary endpoint for effective obesity management. Despite a growing public awareness of the importance of weight loss and the spending of billions of dollars by Americans in attempts to lose weight, obesity prevalence continues to rise. In this report we argue that effective obesity management in

Determining the Endpoint of Sediment Titrations by Smartphones

Medico Legal Update, 2021
In this research work, we have used the image processing technique for determining the end of sodiumsulphate with standard barium chloride in precipitation titration. The white precipitate of barium sulphateproduced by the reaction of barium chloride and sodium sulphate was dispersed in deionized water bymagnetic stirrer and its images were taken by ...

The determination of lipoprotein Lp(a) by rate and endpoint nephelometry

Clinica Chimica Acta, 1983
Rate nephelometry is a fast and convenient method for Lp(a) quantification. The linearity in the range of the physiological serum concentrations is good and there is good correlation with other immunochemical methods. The antibody consumption is some 50% higher when compared to the Laurell procedure if light scatter is measured in the RU mode ...

Visual information throughout a reach determines endpoint precision

Experimental Brain Research, 2006
People make rapid, goal-directed movements to interact with their environment. Because these movements have consequences, it is important to be able to control them with a high level of precision and accuracy. Our hypothesis is that vision guides rapid hand movements, thereby enhancing their accuracy and precision. To test this idea, we asked observers
