Characteristics and Material Flows of Diary Packaging in Municipal Solid Waste: A Case Study of Plastic Yoghurt Cups in Vienna

open access: yesGlobal Challenges, Volume 10, Issue 8, August 2026.
Consumer dismantling behavior of yoghurt cups has been quantified in Vienna. Three‐component cups (with carton wrap) are increasingly present on the market but are rarely correctly dismantled and disposed of correctly, leading to mis‐sorting and loss of recyclable material.

A Hybrid RF Coil for Whole‐Brain Imaging in Non‐Human Primates at 7 T

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 2, Page 996-1010, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose Ultra‐high field MRI (≥ 7 T) offers unprecedented potential for mapping non‐human primate (NHP) brain function. However, complex electromagnetic systems are required to meet the challenges of UHF imaging and the mechanical demands of awake NHP studies.

Extending Field Limits in Nanoscale Magnetic Imaging With Metamaterial‐Inspired Magnetic Flux Concentrators

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 43, 3 August 2026.
Micrometer‐sized flower‐shaped metamaterial magnetic flux concentrators are fabricated directly around nano and micromagnetic samples, enabling local field enhancement. Integrated into magnetic sensitive photoemission electron microscopy, they extend the available magnetic field range by up to a factor of five.

Regulating Ligand‐to‐Metal Charge Transfer in UiO‐66(Zr)‐NH2 With Site‐Isolated Cu+ Centers for Efficient Photocatalytic H2O2 Generation

open access: yesSmall Science, Volume 6, Issue 8, August 2026.
Incorporation of highly dispersed Cu species into UiO‐66(Zr)‐NH2 introduces a competing ligand‐to‐Cu charge–transfer pathway that suppresses charge recombination and enhances photocatalytic H2O2 production. Combined PL, TRPL, TRIR, and variable‐temperature FTIR analyses reveal Cu‐mediated modulation of excited‐state dynamics and oxygen reduction ...
