Detection of wind turbines rotary motion by birds: A matter of speed and contrast
Some bird species may detect low‐speed rotation on wind turbines as static. A low contrast between the wind turbine and its background increases the rotation speed treshold at which this phenomenon appears. Automatic Detection Systems used to slow down wind turbines when birds are approaching may thus be counterproductive.

Land cover changes with the development of anaerobic digestion for biogas production in France
We characterized and quantified the land cover changes in farms associated with biogas plants in France, by combining two national spatialized databases. We showed that, on average, the changes were limited, with an increase in maize areas compensated by a decrease in wheat and rapeseed areas, but with a certain variability.

Energy cover crops for biogas production increase soil organic carbon stocks: A modeling approach
The anaerobic digestion of cover crops for biogas production does not compete directly with food production and is promoted in various countries. Some questions arose regarding the effects of energy cover crops on soil organic carbon (SOC) stocks.
