CNG und LNG aus biogenen Reststoffen – ein Konzept zur ressourcenschonenden Kraftstoffproduktion CNG and LNG from Biogenic Residues – A Concept for Resource‐Saving Fuel Production

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, Volume 92, Issue 1-2, Page 144-155, January/February 2020., 2020

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 137, Issue 42, October 13, 2025.

Oxygen Diffusion in Li(Nb,Ta)O3 Single Crystals

open access: yesphysica status solidi (a), Volume 222, Issue 1, January 2025.
The self‐diffusion of oxygen in Li(Nb,Ta)O3 single crystals is studied experimentally. The diffusivities decrease with increasing Ta content in the crystals. The activation enthalpy of diffusion of about 3.5 eV is compared with the energy barrier of a single O vacancy determined by nudged elastic band/density‐functional theory calculations.

Evolution of the Electrical Conductivity of LiNb1−xTaxO3 Solid Solutions across the Ferroelectric Phase Transformation

open access: yesphysica status solidi (a), Volume 222, Issue 1, January 2025.
The decrease in activation energy of electrical conductivity that occurs in LiNb1‐xTaxO3 solid solutions during the transition from the ferroelectric to the paraelectric phase is investigated. The effect is composition‐dependent and decreases with the Ta content x.

A High‐Temperature Optical Spectroscopy Study of the Fundamental Absorption Edge in the LiNbO3–LiTaO3 Solid Solution

open access: yesphysica status solidi (a), Volume 222, Issue 1, January 2025.
An optical bandgap study has been conducted on single crystals of the LiNbO3−LiTaO3 solid solution. At room temperature, bandgaps of LiNbO3 and LiTaO3 amount to about 4.0 and 4.6 eV, respectively. With rising temperatures, up to 1200 °C, bandgaps decrease by about 35%; their compositional variation is found far from linear.

Acoustic Loss in LiNb1−xTaxO3 at Temperatures up to 900 °C

open access: yesphysica status solidi (a), Volume 222, Issue 1, January 2025.
This study delves into the characterization of acoustic losses in LiNb1−xTaxO3 solid solutions at elevated temperatures. By examining different compositions, valuable insights into charge transport phenomena and material constants are uncovered in the study.

Numerical modeling of HTS excited medium‐speed wind generators with diode rectifier stator feeding

open access: yesInternational Journal of Numerical Modelling: Electronic Networks, Devices and Fields, Volume 37, Issue 5, September/October 2024.
Abstract Medium‐speed wind generators in the MW‐range with high‐temperature superconducting excitation winding are analyzed by means of non‐linear 2D and 3D FEM models. Besides an inverter‐based sinusoidal stator current feeding, a grid connection via a diode rectifier is analyzed by using coupled FEM and circuit simulations.

The COSMHYC Project Series: Innovative Hydrogen Compression Solutions

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, Volume 96, Issue 1-2, Page 36-42, January/February 2024.
Gaseous hydrogen storage requires a compression step in which traditional compressors face reliability and performance issues. Metal hydride compression offers a solution and the COSMHYC projects propose a hybrid concept, integrating advantages of both technologies, to support the rapid expansion of hydrogen infrastructures.
