Energy efficient all-to-all broadcast in all-wireless networks
Information Sciences, 2010All-to-all broadcast is a communication pattern in which every node initiates a broadcast. In this paper, we investigate the problem of building a unique cast tree of minimum total energy, which we call Minimum Unique Cast (MUC) tree, to be used for all-to-all broadcast. The MUC tree is unoriented and unrooted.

All polymeric transducers for energy harvesting
2010 IEEE Sensors, 2010The power harvesting properties of a new class of all polymeric ionic electroactive materials, named Ionic Polymer-Polymer composites (IP2Cs) from vibrating sources are introduced and experimentally investigated. Obtained results show that the proposed technology gives better results with respect to other ionic polymeric transducers and allow to ...

All Digital Energy Sensing for Minimum Energy Tracking
IEEE Transactions on Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) Systems, 2015Minimizing energy consumption is of utmost importance in an energy starved system with relaxed performance requirements. This brief presents a digital energy sensing method that requires neither a constant voltage reference nor a time reference. An energy minimizing loop uses this to find the minimum energy point and sets the supply voltage between 0.2

Hydrogen in energy transition: A review
International journal of hydrogen energy, 2021The energy transition is not something that awaits us in the next decade. On the contrary, it is a process in which we are already deeply enrolled. The main step towards the creation of a carbon-neutral society is the implementation of renewable energy ...

Almost All Functions Require Exponential Energy
2015One potential method to attain more energy-efficient circuits with the current technology is Near-Threshold Computing, which means using less energy per gate by designing the supply voltages to be closer to the threshold voltage of transistors. However, this energy savings comes at a cost of a greater probability of gate failure, which necessitates ...
