The Cosmic Energy Budget

open access: yes
The cosmic energy budget is derived from first principles with no free parameters. The baryon fraction, matter density, dark energy density, and cosmic flatness all follow from Euler’s number e through the mathematics of torsional relaxation. The results are Ω_b = e^(−3), Ω_m = e^(−3/e), and Ω_Λ = e^(−3/e²), which match observations to within 5 ...

Self‐Sustaining Sensing Systems: Integration Strategies and Signal–Power Matching in Energy‐Harvesting Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Energy‐harvesting‐integrated sensors couple ambient energy conversion with sensing, processing, and wireless communication. This review organizes recent progress through integration architectures and operating principles, revisiting co‐packaged, monolithic, and co‐functional designs together with always‐on, event‐driven, and multi‐modal sensing modes ...

Q‐LEAP: Millisecond Hyperdimensional Optimization for Full‐Spectrum Optical Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Q‐LEAP integrates physics‐informed residual machine learning with factorization‐machine‐encoded quantum annealing to design full‐spectrum optical metamaterials. It explores a 2108 design space and, in a single 2.56 ms annealing step, reaches 85.83% of the theoretical FoM limit, enabling selective 5‐8 µm emission with 3–5 and 8–14 µm suppression and ∼40×

Conformal Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces: A Cylindrical Geometry Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Cylindrical reconfigurable intelligent surfaces are explored for low‐complexity beam steering using one‐bit meta‐atoms. A multi‐level modeling approach, including optimization‐based synthesis, demonstrates that even minimal hardware can support directive scattering.
