Local energy conditions and asymptotic conditions

Classical and Quantum Gravity, 1994
We propose a new local energy condition sufficient to show the positivity of gravitational mass in static asymptotically flat spacetimes and discuss the relationship between the energy condition and the asymptotic conditions. Furthermore, we give some implications for asymptotically de Sitter spacetimes.
