The gravitational energy density of the Universe

Modern Physics Letters A, 2021
The teleparallel gravitational energy–momentum tensor density of the Friedmann–Lemaître–Robertson–Walker spacetime is calculated and analyzed: it is decomposed into density, isotropic pressure, non-isotropic pressures, and the heat-flux 4-vector; the antisymmetric part is decomposed into “electric” and “magnetic” components.

Energy density issues of flexible energy storage devices

open access: yesEnergy Storage Materials, 2020
The rapid development of wearable electronics promotes a high demand for flexible power sources. Flexible rechargeable batteries, as the stars of flexible energy storage and conversion systems, possess simultaneously high flexibility, high energy density,

On the energy density of helical proteins

Journal of Mathematical Biology, 2014
We solve the problem of determining the energy actions whose moduli space of extremals contains the class of Lancret helices with a prescribed slope. We first see that the energy density should be linear both in the total bending and in the total twisting, such that the ratio between the weights of them is the prescribed slope.

The role of energy density

Lipids, 2003
AbstractDietary energy density (ED) appears to have a major influence on the regulation of food intake and body weight. If people consume a fixed weight of food each day, then high‐ED diets should be associated with high energy intakes and with overweight.

Generalized acoustic energy density

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2011
The properties of acoustic kinetic energy density and total energy density of sound fields in lightly damped enclosures have been explored thoroughly in the literature. Their increased spatial uniformity makes them more favorable measurement quantities for various applications than acoustic potential energy density (or squared pressure), which is most ...

Energy Density of Foods: Effects on Energy Intake

Critical Reviews in Food Science and Nutrition, 2000
This article examines the importance of dietary energy density (ED) as a major factor that may influence human appetite and energy intake (EI). The article examines whether the effects of diet composition on appetite and EI can be explained in terms of ED.

Excitation energies in the energy density method

Nuclear Physics A, 1980
Abstract The energy density method is used as a starting point to calculate excitation energies in nuclei. Landau theory provides us with a way of constructing the effective interaction between elementary excitations directly from the energy functional. The Landau parameters obtained in the present work are compared to various estimates.
