Research about the activity measurement of 238U using the new CeBr3 detector

open access: yesHe jishu, 2021
BackgroundAt present, the determination of 238U activity in natural samples mainly relies on HPGe spectrometer, but it has application limitation and high cost.PurposeThis study aims to measure the activity of 238U by the new detector at room ...

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Copper activation detector for high energy-pulsed neutron measurements

open access: yesRadiation Protection and Environment, 2019
A first of its kind threshold activation proportional counter is developed using copper for the measurement of pulsed 14 MeV neutrons. The detector is of 26 mm outer diameter and 200 mm overall length.

Ternary particles of Z =1 to 4 emitted in spontaneous fission of 252Cf

open access: yesEurasian Journal of Physics and Functional Materials, 2022
This paper presents the results of ternary light charged particles from 252 Cf spontenous fission source. The method ∆E - E was applied to identify the particle by a position sensitive ∆E - E telescope. The specific energy loss ( ∆E ) was measured using ...

Biophysical approaches for studying viral entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Viruses infect all living organisms and have been responsible for major epidemics and pandemics. Their ongoing evolutionary battle with host defenses creates a constant need for improved tools to study viral behavior. Advancing methods to probe viral attachment, fusion, and genome release deepen our understanding of how infections begin and support the

Detector based on the energy of filtered noise [PDF]

open access: yesIET Signal Processing, 2019
This study deals with the detection of unknown signals in white noise. The authors present a new detector, based on the difference of a deterministic function of the energy of the signal and the energy of the same signal, which has been filtered. Unlike usual energy detector (ED), the proposed detector consists in exploiting the behaviour of the energy

Inclusive Jet Cross Sections in Proton-Proton Collisions at 7.0 TeV Center-of-Mass Energy with the ATLAS Detector at the Large Hadron Collider [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Inclusive jet cross sections are measured using the full 2010 ATLAS data set, corresponding to approximately 37 pb-1 of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 7 TeV provided by the Large Hadron Collider. The cross sections are dened using
