Measurements of the pseudorapidity dependence of the total transverse energy in proton-proton collisions at s√=7 TeV with ATLAS [PDF]
This paper describes measurements of the sum of the transverse energy of particles as a function of particle pseudorapidity, η, in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy, s√=7 TeV using the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider.

Sparse Regression Codes Achieve Multi-User Diversity Without Channel State Information
We study sparse regression codes (SPARC) for multiple access channels with multiple receive antennas, in non-coherent flat fading channels. We propose a novel practical decoder, referred to as maximum likelihood matching pursuit (MLMP), which greedily ...

GAIN PREDICTION THEORY OF SINGLE FOIL GAS ELECTRON MULTIPLIER DETECTOR
Gain prediction theory of single foil Gas Electron Multiplier detector was developed. Gas electron multiplier (GEM) detector with single foil was developed. Soft X-ray spectra with an energy of 5.9 keV emitted by the isotope Fe-55 were measured.

Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.
