Electromagnetic energy harvester for harvesting acoustic energy

open access: yesSādhanā, 2016
This paper reports a suspended coil, electromagnetic acoustic energy harvester (AEH) for extracting acoustical energy. The developed AEH comprises Helmholtz resonator (HR), a wound coil bonded to a flexible membrane and a permanent magnet placed in a magnet holder.

Does acceleration assist entanglement harvesting? [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Rev. D 105,085012 (2022), 2021
We explore whether acceleration assists entanglement harvesting for a pair of uniformly accelerated detectors in three different acceleration scenarios, i.e., parallel, anti-parallel and mutually perpendicular acceleration, both in the sense of the entanglement harvested and harvesting-achievable separation between the two detectors.

Giant piezoelectric voltage coefficient in grain-oriented modified PbTiO3 material

open access: yesNature Communications, 2016
High piezoelectric voltage coefficients drive the sensitivity of piezoelectric sensors. Here, the authors synthesized textured Sm- and Mn-doped PbTiO3ceramics and demonstrate significant enhancement in voltage coefficient.

Probe of the excitonic transitions and lifetimes in quasi-2D organic–inorganic halide perovskites

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2022
Traditional organic–inorganic halide perovskites (OIHPs), in which perovskites layers are separated by an organic spacer material, have been mainly explored for photovoltaics devices, but they also offer promises for nonlinear optics and quantum light ...

When entanglement harvesting is not really harvesting [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. D 104, 125005 (2021), 2021
We revisit the entanglement harvesting protocol when two detectors are in causal contact. We study the role of field-mediated communication in generating entanglement between the two detectors interacting with a quantum field. We provide a quantitative estimator of the relative contribution of communication versus genuine entanglement harvesting.

Nanostructures for Solar Energy Harvesting

open access: yesMicromachines, 2023
Renewable energy sources are becoming more and more essential to energy production as societies evolve toward a fossil-fuel-free world. Solar energy is one of the most abundant sources of green energy. Nanoantennas can be used to improve and enhance the absorption of light into a photovoltaic cell in order to generate more current.

A MOF‐Based Spatial‐Separation Layer to Enable a Uniform Favorable Microenvironment for Electrochemical CO2 Reduction

open access: yesSmall Structures, 2023
Regulating the local microenvironment of active sites to increase their specific CO2 concentration and pH gradient, is a promising approach to optimize the electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction (eCO2RR).
