Two Coexisting Pathways to Volatility in Valence‐Change Memory Devices
Volatile VCM‐type memristive devices exhibit current relaxation after resistive switching, but their microscopic origin remains debated. Using pulsed measurements and a new Tunnel‐DLTS approach on Pt/SrTiO3/Nb:SrTiO3 devices, we show that post‐SET volatility is predominantly ionic, while electronic contributions—arising from quasi‐Fermi‐level ...

Conformational Switching of Proteins on Material Surfaces Enabled by Peptide‐Oriented Adsorption
Responsive biointerfaces could be achieved using conformationally responsive proteins; however, their interconversion can be lost upon surface adsorption. Herein, we demonstrate that the incorporation a Au binding peptide into calmodulin allows for binding control on Au wherein the protein retains conformational switching. This capability was confirmed

Electrostatic Superlattices Beyond 1:1 Stoichiometry
Polymer‐mediated charge regulation drives two hierarchical routes to higher‐stoichiometry nanoparticle superlattices. Tuning the polymer's molecular weight promotes progressive interstitial filling, transforming ZnS into the fully occupied CaF2${\rm CaF}_2$ lattice. Exchanging polymer assignment between large and small nanoparticles instead breaks CsCl

The moment magnitude M w and the energy magnitude M e: common roots and differences
Journal of Seismology, 2010Starting from the classical empirical magnitude-energy relationships, in this article, the derivation of the modern scales for moment magnitude Mw and energy magnitude Me is outlined and critically discussed. The formulas for Mw and Me calculation are presented in a way that reveals, besides the contributions of the physically defined measurement ...

Local magnitude, surface wave magnitude and seismic energy
Studia Geophysica et Geodaetica, 1991The local magnitude ML at the seismological station Pruhonice (PRU) was converted into surface wave magnitude MS using the formula MS=−3.2+1.45 ML and the seismic wave energy was estimated using the relation log E (Joule)=1.2+2.0 ML. It was proposed to apply the same conversion formulae at seismological stations Kasperske Hory (KHC) and Berggiesshubel (

Sound energy and the magnitude of change
NeuroReport, 2011The mismatch negativity (MMN) of event-related potential generally increases in amplitude, as a function of magnitude of change. This study examined whether this relation holds true for intensity decrement, in which the stimulus energy that conveys the change falls in inverse proportion to magnitude of change.

BIOMASS ENERGY: THE MAGNITUDE OF THE POSSIBLE RESOURCE
2022It is widely acknowledged that biofuels, whether usage of fluid, or hard fuel, electrical energy, have the potential to provide the bulk, anticipated renewable energy supply for future. The fundamental processes i.e., thermal, biological, and physical change can be used to create biofuels.

Magnitude of energy dissipation in fission
Physical Review C, 1980It is shown that no definite conclusions can be drawn regarding the magnitude of energy dissipation in fission during the descent from the saddle point, by a comparison of the calculated deformation and interaction energies of fission fragments near scission, with the experimental fragment excitation and kinetic energies.

Magnitude of Excitation Energy and Energy Transfer by Collision
Physical Review, 1954Energy transfer by collision in fluorescent solutions is found to drop sharply when the excitation energy of the solute molecule is very close to or below that of the transferring molecule. The results indicate that energy is transferred only when molecules are close to each other as in collision.

Reply to "Magnitude of energy dissipation in fission"
Physical Review C, 1980We contend that the method of Ramamurthy et al. is based on a misconception of the energy release at scission. Low dissipation (of less than 10 MeV) in /sup 252/Cf(sf) follows from a proper evaluation.
