Equipments for Energy Recovery

2019
Plant engineers should consider availability of waste heat from hot process gases in the plant, availability of clean fuel at site, and select appropriate machines for power generation. Combination of turbines and boilers can also be considered. Choice of electrical generators shall depend on requirement of heating (by steam) and power at site; and ...

Recovery of cryogenic energy in lng regasification

2011
Scope of this work is to present methods of processing LNG in a plant where its cryogenic content is recovered, mainly to generate power and/or to improve power generation. The energy market will continue to be pushed by a continuously increasing demand. According to a forecast published by U.S. EIA (International Energy Outlook 2010 – Highlights, U.S.

Engineering feasibility, economic viability and environmental sustainability of energy recovery from nitrous oxide in biological wastewater treatment plant.

Bioresource Technology, 2019
Currently, the biological wastewater treatment has been challenged by their high energy consumption. An increasing effort has been devoted to exploring energy recovery from nitrous oxide (N2O) as a powerful fuel additive rather than as an unwanted ...

Energy-Recovery CMOS

1996
With energy-recovery CMOS, circuit energy that would otherwise be dissipated as heat is instead conserved for later reuse. From such an approach to low power, there are no a priori limits to the degree to which energy and power dissipation can be reduced inside a circuit.

Energy recovery in an optical linear collider

Physical Review E, 2004
It is demonstrated that recovery of the electromagnetic energy of the fundamental mode at the output of an acceleration structure leads to a significant efficiency enhancement. When using a single bunch, the number of electrons accelerated is rather small. In fact, this number is virtually identical to the case when no feedback loop is employed.

Energy Recovery Potential and Environmental Impacts to Energy Recovery Options of Different Waste

Journal of Advances in Science and Technology
This paper presents experimental models that predict the ages of biodegradable and non-biodegradable garbage by factoring in the residents' financial situation. However, while there are a number of models that can predict garbage age rates, none of them can independently predict biodegradable and non-biodegradable trash age rates for any given city ...
