A Mouse Model of Partial Pancreas Agenesis Induced by Polo‐like kinase 1 Mutation

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 39, Issue 16, 31 August 2025.
These findings demonstrate a critical role of PLK1 in pancreas development. Pancreas‐specific Plk1 knockout causes severe pancreatic agenesis and impaired insulin secretion in adult mice; consequently, it leads to diabetic syndromes, growth retardation, and systemically metabolic disorder.
