Clinica E Investigacion En Ginecologia Y Obstetricia, 2006Mondor’s disease is a superficial thrombophlebitis of the thoracic wall frequently affecting the female breast. In most cases the aetiology is unknown, although operation, direct and indirect trauma, muscular effort, is known as causative factors. Spontaneous resolution occurs in 6 weeks to 6 months, and no treatment apart from observation is required.
