Angewandte Chemie, EarlyView.Ein i‐Motiv/Duplex‐Konjugat wurde hinsichtlich seiner Fähigkeit untersucht, die Protonen der hemiprotonierten C:CH+‐Basenpaare durch AgI‐Ionen zu ersetzen, um C–AgI–C‐Basenpaare zu bilden. Interessanterweise wird nur ein einziges solches Basenpaar gebildet, bevor sich das Oligonukleotid in eine Duplexstruktur umlagert.
