People’s Perceptions of the Visual Appearance of Wood Flooring: A Kansei Engineering Approach
Evaluations of products based on visual stimuli are at the same time both subjective and important. The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between the visual properties of wood flooring and people’s reactions to computer visualization of interior wood products. The research strategy involved showing digital pictures of the same room, but

Capacity of Surface Production of Band Sawing in Manufacture of Oak Floor Upper Layers
Thin lamellae, corresponding to the layer components of structural glued members, i.e., 2-ply or 3-ply glued flooring, can be manufactured in re-sawing operations of kiln-dried wood blocks or in wet technologies, which currently seem to be more common ...

Dimensional Stabilization of Engineered Wood Floor Using Linseed Oil and Paraffin Wax Impregnation
Abstract: Engineered wood flooring comprises three or more layers of wood veneer adhered together to create a plank. The surfaces were coated to scale back water absorption. However, as wood is a hygroscopic substance, it loses and gains moisture from the atmosphere.

The effects of process parameters (adhesive spreading rate, pressing time, and applied pressure) on the response parameter (shear strength) of engineered wood flooring bonded with polyurethane (PUR) were studied by response surface methodology. A mathematical model was established to provide a satisfying prediction for the experimental results observed.
